Course description

Leaders today face many daunting challenges in the workplace, especially with the unexpected and unprecedented stress and chaos of a global pandemic. Using your recent experiences of management successes and challenges within evolving workplaces, explore agile leadership techniques and best practices with our experts. Develop a deeper understanding of what led to your successes and challenges and design strategies to face future challenges with resilience and empathy. Connect with your peers and co-create practical management strategies to make your workplace (whether in-person, remote, or a hybrid) welcoming, inclusive, and effective. 

Instructed by Realize organizational development consultants and experts Gillian Harper, CPHR and Makeda Henry, Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, students will have exclusive direct access to our instructors' combined expertise and experience as well as space to workshop individual workplace scenarios.

This course consists of short pre-session reading and reflections, followed by a LIVE 3-hour lesson in Zoom and Miro with practical group work and instruction by our experts in employee experience, workplace culture, and organizational development. This course will be open from Oct 3 – 7, 2022.

Gillian Harper

Data-expert Gillian Harper helps organizations analyze and strengthen their employee experience and overall structure to support long-term resilience and growth. She applies her training and expertise to help organizations design professional environments that foster employee engagement, development and fulfillment. As a consultant with Realize Strategies, Gillian works with clients to identify strategically-aligned leadership candidates; support development of holistic, meaningful HR strategies; and optimize organizational structure and culture. Gillian is certified in multiple leadership, performance, and culture assessments.

Makeda Henry

Organizational Development Consultant and Senior Instructor
MA Organizational Psychology, Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner

Makeda applies her background in research and data (qualitative, quantitative, SPSS) to help client organizations achieve their full potential and foster positive workplace cultures. Prior to joining Realize Strategies, she supported leading for-profit companies in making informed decisions about their branding, products and services, and customer experience. Through the lens of employee engagement and well-being, Makeda uses a data-driven approach to identify core challenges within organizations and design happier, more effective workplaces. Makeda has worked with various non-profit organizations to implement changes that lead to improved programs, better services, and thriving cultures.
